Christ has brought you together, and we join in your joy.Sacramental marriage unites a man and a woman and brings together two families in a powerful witness to Christian faith within a Christian community. Because of these important factors, couples should receive the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at the parish where they intend to live and to raise their family. Neither you nor we want to reduce your important day to a venue choice or a mere backdrop for your wedding.
Your desire to be married at the Basilica of Saint Josaphat is a desire to share this holy sacrament within your parish family. To be a parishioner of the Basilica is to have holistic commitment to the parish, through worship and support of the life of the parish community.
For the Basilica to be your parish, you would either live in the parish boundaries or be attending Mass here on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, supporting the parish either financially or by volunteering, and registering with the parish office.
